Common Questions

Do I have to be home when you clean?

No you do not need to be home when the cleaners arrive. About 80% of our clients are not home when the cleaners come for your cleaning appointmnet. If you want you can give the office staff a custom door code, location of a key, or garage code to put on file. If you are not comfortable with not being home thats ok! We are happy to clean while you are in the home as well. Whatever you are most comfortable with is what we are aiming for!

How many cleaners will be in my home?

We have all sorts of cleaning packages. The most common is our house cleanings that are on a recurring schedule. For these types of cleanings you will have a team of 2. Our apartment packages have range from 1-2 cleaners and for our deep clean prackages you can expect a team of 2-4. 

Do I need to provide the supplies and equipment for the cleaners?

No you do not. Our teams come prepared with the necessary equipment and supplies needed to provide you with a 5-star cleaning. If you have a particular product you want used, you can leave it out for them if you want. If you are looking to have the cleaners use a specific chemical that we do not provide please let the office staff know and we can leave that on the notes for the cleaners.

What if I need to reschedule or cancel my cleaning appointment?

Life happens! We get it. If you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment please make sure to do it within 24-48 hours prior to your cleaning. 

Can I cancel my service at any time? Am I required to sign a contract?

We are a no contract company. We don't believe a contract is necessary to develop a long relationship with our clients. Our quality of work has proved to be enough for that! 

What about my pets?

We love them! Most of us have pets at home and we understand that they are family. We do ask that if you do have pets that they are tucked away in a single location so the cleaners can be more effective while cleaning. Sometimes our furry friends decide to walk through a mopped floor and the cleaners have to go over it again. So to keep things simple we just ask to have all pets behind a closed door. If you want you can always let our office staff know your pets names so the cleaners can have that as well. 

What if my cleaning lands on a holiday?

We are open most holidays. If your cleaning is scheduled on a holiday we are not open an office staff memeber will reach out to see if you would like to reschedule. We try to be as flexible as possible to help accomadate your needs. 

How do I pay for my cleaning?

We have 3 ways to pay. You can put your card on file to be charged after your cleaning, we can send a direct link to your email so you can pay with a credit/debit card, or we can send a Venmo request. All payments are collected after the cleaning is done to ensure a quality clean was provided. 

Do you do dishes and/or laundry?

We do not provide laundry or dish services. If you would like to have your dishes done it is an additional price and you can request it from the office staff. 

What if I forget and don’t leave the door unlocked and I am not home on my cleaning day?

The office staff or the cleaners will message you to see if there is a different way you would like them to enter the home. If they can't reach you in time they will send you a message to try to reschedule you. We do have same day "no show" or cancellation fees. 

What if I only want certain areas of my house cleaned?

Great! We can accomadate that. The key to our service is communication. If there are specific locations in your home you do/do not want cleaned please let the office staff know so they can write that on your profile. The cleaners live off of your profile so if there is anything specific you want they will know by reading that. 

What is your referral policy?

We love cleaning homes! We appreciate any referalls we can get. If you are intersted in learning about our referral program please refer to this link. REFERRAL

What if my cleaners missed a spot during my cleaning?

We are human too! Sometimes things get missed or miscommunicated. Please let the office staff know so we can help set up a re-clean or a discount for that day. The more we communicate the better your service will be. We are here to help!

Does the same cleaning team come to my house each time?

We love when our clients get to know their cleaners. We try our best to provide the same cleaning teams for your cleanings. Sometimes cleaners are sick or cannot come for outside reasons so we will assign another team. Typically, though, you will have the same team. It allows them to be more efficient when they know your home. 

How long does the cleaning take?

This really depends on your home and the package you have requested. Some homes take 90 minutes others take 6. Typically a recurring cleaning takes about 90-120 minutes. Deep cleans can take up to 3-6 hours. 

Is there anything I need to do before the cleaners come?

Having your house cleaned is an incredible experience. To help our cleaners to provide a 5-star quality cleaning there is a pre cleaning checklist that clients will need to look at. An email is sent to you prior to each scheduled cleaning. For example its difficult to vacuum a floor that is covered in toys and clothing. We ask that clients pick up clutter before the cleaners come so they can effectivly clean your home. We understand life happens and that doesn't always happen. Our cleaners are flexible and do the best they can for you each time. 

What is the next step after I book a cleaning?

Once your cleaning has been scheduled you will recieve an email 4 days prior to your appointment going over a few pre cleaning requests. It will also have our policies on it to go over. 2 days prior to your cleaning you will recieve a confirmation text reminding you of your appointment. If you read both of these notifications you will be ready for the cleaners!

Do you require a deep cleaning to start?

No we do not. You can start with the first of a recurring cleaning schedule. You can always request a deep clean whenever you want!

What if the job takes longer than expected?

Our pricing is set to be the most affordable for the packages we provide. In order to do this we work with flat rates. Most homes, based on thousands of cleanings rendered, take around the time that we quote. If extra hours are needed due to unforseen or information not provided by the client during the quoting process an Abode office staff member will reach out to discuss the options with you. No extra fees will be added without customer approval.

Common Pricing

Hello! Thanks for showing interest in our house cleaning service! Our teams bring their own supplies and equipment and would love to take the cleaning off your plate! Here are our deals for homes 1200-2800 sqft, up to 3 bed and 2 bath and common areas:

-OneTime Holiday Special: $129

-Deep Clean: $299

-Deep Plus: $349

-The Works: $399



-Biweekly: $130 per cleaning

-Weekly: $125 per cleaning 

These are based on flat rates for teams of 2. If you want to add an extra room or bathroom its simply $10 for an extra room. So for example if you want a biweekly cleaning for $130 a cleaning but have 4 bathrooms and 2 baths the new flat rate is just $140 per cleaning.
